消息面上，中国中车此前发布年度业绩，实现营业收入2464.57亿元，同比增长5.21%；纯利123.88亿元，同比增长5.77%。单四季度营收938.74亿元，同比增长2.90%；纯利51.43亿元，同比下滑7.51%。中信建投指出，2024年第四季度公司业绩增速放缓，但动车组新造与高级修业务仍表现亮眼。
花旗发布研报称，中国中车去年财报令人失望，盈利逊该行及市场预期。公司今年的展望同样不明朗，管理层预计2025年的高速动车组招标规模约为200列，低于2024年的245列、机车更换需求取决于政府的补贴政策，存在不确定性。该行同时提出，公司的股息支付率维持在约49%，对于增长率仅为单位数而且拥有强劲自由现金流的公司而言，未能满足投资者期望。
