Indonesia's Consumer Inflation at 1.03% in March

Indonesia's consumer prices edged up to 1.03% year on year in March, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.22, versus the 0.09% deflation in the preceding month, according to data released by Statistics Indonesia on Tuesday.

The latest print was driven by a 2.07% annual increase in food, beverages, and tobacco prices; a 1.41% rise in the prices of clothing and footwear group; and a 1.80% growth in the health group.

Core inflation, which measures the change in the costs of goods and services excluding food and energy, was 2.48% in March, the data showed.
