TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jasamarga Nusantara Tollroad Regional Division (JNT/Regional Nusantara) predicts the peak of return traffic for Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri or Eid 2025 on the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) Toll Road will occur on Monday, April 7, 2025. Senior Manager JNT Tyas Pramoda Wardhani stated assumption of traffic volume at 93,473 vehicles.
"An increase of 8.26 percent compared to normal traffic volume, which is 86,343 vehicles," said Tyas in Jakarta on Saturday, April 5, 2025, quoted from the official statement.
To maintain the smooth flow of return traffic service, JNT strives to anticipate queues at toll gates. Tyas urges toll users to check and ensure sufficient electronic money balance during the journey.
He explained that Belmera Toll Road has a closed transaction system or distance-based toll, so toll road users can only use the same electronic money for tap in and tap out at toll gates.
He revealed that during the Eid holiday traffic service period 2025, a total of 109,915 toll road users experienced insufficient balance and topped up electronic money at toll gates. This data is recorded from H-10 to H+3 of Eid al-Fitr or from March 21 to April 4, 2025.
Based on this data, Amplas Toll Gate became the toll gate with the highest electronic money top-up location, with 28,623 toll road users.
Meanwhile, balance top-up can be done through top-up booths at Rest and Service Areas or rest areas, retail minimarkets, or Near Field Communication (NFC) feature on gadgets. In addition, toll road users can also download the Travoy application as a digital travel assistant on Jasa Marga Group toll roads to top up balances, check toll rates, and get digital receipts.
Furthermore, Tyas also urges road users who will travel through toll roads to ensure the driver and vehicle are in good and roadworthy condition. They are also asked to ensure sufficient fuel and to comply with traffic signs and directions of officers if there is any traffic engineering.
