Insiders Could Have Profited By Holding onto Airship AI Holdings Shares Despite 13% Drop

Despite the fact that Airship AI Holdings, Inc.'s (NASDAQ:AISP) value has dropped 13% in the last week insiders who sold US$823k worth of stock in the past 12 months have had less success. Given that the average selling price of US$4.79 is still lower than the current share price, insiders would probably have been better off keeping their shares.

While insider transactions are not the most important thing when it comes to long-term investing, we would consider it foolish to ignore insider transactions altogether.

Airship AI Holdings Insider Transactions Over The Last Year

The Chief Technology Officer, Yanda Ma, made the biggest insider sale in the last 12 months. That single transaction was for US$387k worth of shares at a price of US$6.45 each. We generally don't like to see insider selling, but the lower the sale price, the more it concerns us. It's of some comfort that this sale was conducted at a price well above the current share price, which is US$3.43. So it is hard to draw any strong conclusion from it.

In the last year Airship AI Holdings insiders didn't buy any company stock. You can see the insider transactions (by companies and individuals) over the last year depicted in the chart below.
