谷歌展示AR眼镜原型：Gemini加持，支持实时翻译
IT之家 4月9日消息，谷歌于周二在温哥华的TED大会上展示了其AR眼镜原型，这款眼镜将微型显示屏与谷歌的Gemini人工智能助手相结合。
谷歌此次展示的原型眼镜，外观类似普通眼镜，却具备强大功能。安卓XR负责人沙赫拉姆・伊扎迪（Shahram Izadi）及其同事向观众演示了这款眼镜的多种用途，包括将波斯语实时翻译成英语、扫描书籍等。伊扎迪表示：“这些眼镜与你的手机配合使用，数据在两者之间来回传输，使得眼镜本身可以保持轻巧，并且能够访问手机上的所有应用程序。”
IT之家注意到，谷歌还展示了一款与三星合作开发的混合现实头显，其外观与苹果的Vision Pro极为相似。该头显利用视频透视技术，将现实世界与数字世界无缝融合。在演示中，用户可以看到多个叠加的窗口，沉浸式地欣赏南非开普敦的全景，还能观看360度的滑雪视频。
然而，尽管技术已经取得了显著进步，但成本仍然是将这类设备推向大众市场的重大障碍。目前，这些高科技设备的生产成本较高，限制了其普及程度。谷歌和三星等公司需要在降低成本的同时，进一步提升设备的电池续航能力，以满足消费者对便携性和实用性的需求。
此前，Meta也在去年展示了类似的Orion眼镜概念。谷歌和Meta的这些演示表明，增强现实技术已经足够成熟，可以在眼镜等小型设备中实现。未来的关键在于如何进一步优化电池续航、降低生产成本，从而推动这些设备的广泛应用。
