消息面上，近期小米深陷舆论漩涡，距离安徽小米SU7交通事故仅过去7天，近日，网传湛江市徐闻县一辆小米SU7撞两人后起火焚毁，引起广泛关注。4月11日，徐闻县公安局发布警情通报，小米汽车官方也对此事做出回应。当前市场普遍猜测原计划4月举行的小米新品发布会可能推迟。
据大河报报道，4月10日，多名博主晒出小米2025年投资者日延期通知邮件。邮件显示，小米集团2025年投资者日因故延期至2025年6月3日。本次投资者日将由公司管理层及业务部门负责人分享公司战略和业务进展。同时还邀请投资者参观小米汽车工厂。虽然官方没有明确说明延期原因，但是很多网友猜测是受小米SU7相关事故影响所致。据悉，事故发生后，一直就有传闻称受此事影响，小米很多活动都延期。除了YU7外，更多传闻直指REDMI Turbo 4 Pro、玄戒自研芯片以及部分其他机型都调整延期。
