0343 GMT - Malaysia's headline inflation may edge higher in 2H, driven by potential subsidy cuts and electricity tariff hikes, Moody's Analytics economists Aditi Raman and Eugene Tan say in a note. While inflation eased in March to 1.4%, the lowest reading in over four years--transport, housing and utilities may face rising inflation risks in the coming months amid impending RON95 fuel subsidies reform and electricity tariffs increase, the economists say.
