Lotus Resources (ASX:LOT) said its Kayelekera uranium project in Malawi remains "on track" for first production in the third quarter, with refurbishment and restart works over 80% complete, according to a Wednesday filing with the Australian bourse.
Regulatory approvals for environmental and social impact assessment and radiation licences are expected in the second quarter, the filing said.
The company also confirmed that uranium produced at the project is exempt from the latest US import tariffs, the filing added.
