Woodside's 1Q Production, Sales Miss Citi's Estimates Slightly -- Market Talk

Dow Jones
Apr 23, 2025

0133 GMT - Woodside Energy's shares rise 2.9% to A$20.28 following its 1Q operational report, slightly outperforming the 1.5% gain by the broader S&P/ASX 200 index. Citi says Woodside's oil and natural-gas production of 49.1 million BOE was in line with consensus forecasts, although it missed the bank's own estimates by some 4% because of lower production from the Pluto gas-export project in Australia. Sales also fell short of Citi's estimates by 6%, reflecting the timing of crude-oil cargoes from the Sangomar project in Senegal. Citi has a neutral call on Woodside.
