0233 GMT - CATL remains a top pick for Citi Research after the Chinese company presented three battery breakthroughs at its Tech Day event in Shanghai this week. Analysts led by Jack Shang highlight the EV battery maker's upgraded Shenxing battery, which offers a 520-kilometer range on a five-minute charge. That would outperform rival BYD's new fast-charging technology, which provides 400 kilometers of range in about the same charging time. The latest Shenxing's "battery performance in low temperature is also impressive, as it can charge from 5% to 80% of total capacity in 15 minutes at minus 10 degrees Celsius," the analysts say. Citi keeps a buy rating and target price of CNY362.00 on CATL, which is last at CNY233.72. (farah.elias@wsj.com)
