智通财经APP获悉，印度正在考虑将高端摩托车的关税降至零，该国政府正在制定如何与美国总统特朗普达成贸易协议的战略。
知情人士称，印度莫迪政府正在考虑取消750CC及以上排量摩托车的进口关税，主要受益者是哈雷-戴维森公司(HOG.US)。
尽管谈判仍在进行中，但这一提议是否被纳入最终的美印贸易协定将取决于谈判的进展。
据称，印度也对汽车零部件的互惠零关税安排持开放态度——印度认为汽车零部件出口潜力巨大，国内反对的声音有限。
特朗普总统称印度为“关税之王”，称对哈雷戴维森摩托车征收高额进口关税是不公平贸易行为的象征。今年以来，哈雷-戴维森公司股价下跌了约25%。
正在对印度进行为期四天访问的美国副总统万斯称赞华盛顿与新德里之间的贸易协定取得了他所说的“非常好的进展”。
