Walmart-backed (WMT) Flipkart plans to move its holding company back to India from Singapore, a Flipkart spokesperson confirmed to MT Newswires in an email Tuesday.
"This move represents a natural evolution, aligning our holding structure with our core operations, the vast potential of the Indian economy and our technology and innovation-driven capabilities to foster digital transformation in India," the spokesperson said.
The e-commerce platform, which started in India, said the relocation is subject to requisite approvals.
