Metropolitan Bank Holding may declare a dividend on its common stock as early as the third quarter of this year.
The size, and record and payment dates, if any, will be disclosed following approval of the payment by the board, the company said Wednesday.
Along with its recently initiated stock buyback program, the dividend underscores the bank's commitment of delivering total return to investors, the company said.
Metropolitan Bank Holding is the parent company of New York City-based Metropolitan Commercial Bank.
