Renascor Resources (ASX:RNU) said that SA Power Networks completed a program of works to upgrade the electrical distribution network for Renascor's proposed Siviour graphite mining and processing operation in South Australia, part of its battery anode material project, according to a Thursday Australian bourse filing.
The upgrades include the installation of a new 33-kilovolts transformer and circuit breakers at SA Power Network's substation, the filing said.
The upgrades are expected to allow Renascor to meet the majority of its planned Siviour phase one mine electricity requirements. The firm is focusing on engineering, procurement, and infrastructure works to further de-risk and minimize the project's construction period.
Its shares rose 8% on market close on Thursday.
