0312 GMT - CATL's new battery technologies should reinforce its leading position in the global EV battery market, CGS International analysts say in a research note. CATL introduced a new dual-power battery featuring a maximum range of more than 1,500 kilometers on a single charge and an upgraded version of its Shenxing battery, a cell it says can add 520 km in range after charging for five minutes. The analysts think the development gives it advantages over gasoline-powered vehicles. "CATL's market share will pick up further after seeing its new products mass produced and installed in vehicles," the analysts say. CGS International reiterates its add rating on CATL with an unchanged target price of CNY301.00. Shares are 1.1% higher at CNY229.25. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
