BlockBeats News, April 23, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang presided over a regular press conference. A reporter from Agence France-Presse asked a question, mentioning that the White House stated yesterday that progress has been made in the China-US trade agreement negotiations. Can the spokesperson confirm whether China is negotiating a trade agreement with the United States?

Geng Shuang stated, "Regarding the trade war initiated by the United States, China's attitude is very clear. We are not willing to fight, but we are not afraid to fight. If the U.S. really wants to resolve issues through dialogue and negotiation, it should stop threatening and extortion and engage in dialogue with China on the basis of equality, respect, and reciprocity. Saying one wants to reach an agreement with China while continuously exerting maximum pressure is not the right way to deal with China and is also impractical." (FXStreet)
