MetLife raised its quarterly dividend 4.1% to 57 cents a share.
The new payout, equal to $2.28 a year, represents an annual yield of about 3.1% based on Tuesday's closing price of $73.09.
The insurance provider said Tuesday its quarterly dividend has been raised at a 9% compound annual growth rate since 2011.
The dividend will be payable on June 10 to shareholders of record as of May 6.
