Home BancShares said its board increased the company's quarterly dividend, to 20 cents per share from 19.5 cents.

The new dividend, 80 cents on an annual basis, will be payable on June 4 to shareholders of record on May 14.

Based on Home BancShares' closing share price of $27.53 on Wednesday, the new dividend represents a yield of about 2.9%.

John Allison, chairman and chief executive, said the company had a strong 2024 and a record-setting first quarter, making the time right to increase the dividend.

Home BancShares, the parent company of Centennial Bank, last raised its dividend in July, to 19.5 cents per share from 18 cents.
