Otis Worldwide Ups Dividend by 8%

Otis Worldwide raised its quarterly dividend by 8%, to 42 cents a share.

The Farmington, Conn.-based elevator-and-escalator maker on Tuesday said its board of directors has approved a quarterly payout to shareholders of 42 cents, up from 39 cents previously.

The new payout, equal to $1.68 annually, represents a yield of 1.7%, based on Tuesday's closing price of $98.95 per share.

The dividend will be payable June 6 to shareholders of record at the close of business May 16.
