Kopin (KOPN) said Tuesday it won a $7.5 million multiyear contract to supply helmet-mounted microdisplays that provide augmented reality capabilities from an undisclosed customer.
Kopin said the customer is a tier 1 contractor for the Department of Defense and a supplier of aerospace and defense solutions.
The contract brings the total orders for pilot helmet displays to $13.5 million year-to-date, the company said.
Shares of Kopin were up nearly 23% in recent trading.
