万神殿宏观经济学（Pantheon Macroeconomics）分析师罗伯特·伍德在致投资者的报告中指出，尽管英国经济增长前景阴云密布，但英国央行可能仍将保持谨慎态度。

　　该行货币政策委员会（MPC）将于下月召开会议决定下一步行动。当前经济放缓迹象显著，投资者普遍预期关键利率将下调25个基点，少数派则预计委员会或采取更激进的50个基点降息。但伍德认为后者可能性较低。

　　他表示，尽管市场信心调查趋于悲观，但核心数据显示，英国经济在近期动荡前“仍保持平稳运行”。

　　“因此，货币政策委员会无需以批准大幅降息的方式表现得惊慌失措。” 伍德总结称。
