NS United Kaiun Kaisha (TYO:9110) sold a bulk carrier owned by a consolidated subsidiary, booking a gain of approximately 4.74 billion yen, according to a Thursday filing on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
The transfer, part of the company's fleet development plan, was completed on April 24, with an overseas third-party buyer.
NS United said it has no ties with the transferee. The gain will be recorded as extraordinary income in the first-quarter results for the fiscal year ending March 2026.
