花旗发表报告表示，汇丰控股(00005.HK) 中午公布今年首季业绩，基础税前利润(不含特殊项目)为98亿美元，较市场预期高出15%，其中季内收入高出6%，成本低4%，减值损失则略高1%。
该行指汇控首季收入超预期，主要由非利息收入(高出15%)驱动，银行净利息收入符合预期。集团首季税前利润为95亿美元，较市场预期高21%，得益于重组费用低于预期。集团截至3月底核心一级资本比率为14.7%，按季下降20个基点，低于市场共识10个基点，但仍维持每股10美仙的股息及最高达30亿美元的股票回购(在上季度回购规模较小后今次规模令人鼓舞)。
