Saffaire Sky Energy, a joint venture between Japan's Cosmo Oil (TYO:5021) and JGC Holdings (TYO:1963), will supply sustainable aviation fuel to Taiwan's EVA Air (TPE:2618) from fiscal 2025, Nikkei reported Monday.
The fuel order, produced from waste cooking oil, is Japan's first large-scale offering and aims to help reduce aviation's carbon emissions, according to the report.
The venture also has sustainable aviation fuel agreements with Starlux Airlines, Japan Airlines (TYO:9201), All Nippon Airways, DHL, Delta Air Lines, and Finnair, the report said.
