加拿大皇家银行资本市场（RBC Capital Markets）在一份研究报告中指出，西班牙BBVA银行第一季度财报数据超出市场普遍预期，显示其年内开局良好。

　　分析师本杰明·汤姆（Benjamin Toms）与林雪莉（Sherry Lin）分析称，从业务分部表现看，业绩超预期的核心驱动力或来自西班牙本土市场。

　　不过，他们认为这一结果可能主要受西班牙银行业税收政策影响减弱推动。

　　分析师补充称：“预计今日（业绩）电话会议的焦点将集中在全球贸易战的影响，以及BBVA对萨瓦德尔银行（Sabadell）收购交易的进展”，该交易是BBVA针对这家西班牙规模较小同行的竞购要约。
