Alphawave IP Group said the deadline for Qualcomm to either announce a firm intention to make a takeover offer or walk away has been extended.
The U.K. semiconductor company on Tuesday said the deadline is now set to May 12, and that both parties are engaged in the negotiations.
On April 2, Qualcomm said it was considering making an offer to acquire Alphawave, without disclosing financial details.
Alphawave's shares were up 5.5% at 117.3 pence in European morning trading, and up nearly 30% since Qualcomm's announcement.
