消息面上，据市场消息报道，美国总统特朗普将在星期二(4月29日)宣布措施以降低其汽车关税所带来的冲击。多名美国官员表示，特朗普的新措施将降低对美国制造汽车使用外国零部件的部分关税，同时避免对外国产汽车征收的关税叠加在他已征收的其他关税上。
据美国汽车研究中心的一项最新分析发现，美国总统特朗普4月初实施的25%汽车关税将使美国汽车制造商2025年的成本增加约1080亿美元。此前，研究机构Counterpoint认为，随着乘用车进口被征收25%的关税，以及零部件关税即将推出，新车价格可能上涨8000美元至1.5万美元。成本上升将压缩消费者的购买力，迫使买家转向二手车市场，并抬高维修成本。以美国为主要市场的欧洲、日本和韩国车企也将陷入困境。
