谷歌旗下自动驾驶子公司Waymo周二宣布与丰田建立初步合作伙伴关系，探索将机器人出租车技术引入私人汽车。
两家公司表示：“将探讨如何利用Waymo的自动驾驶技术和丰田的汽车专业知识，以增强下一代个人拥有的汽车。”
两家公司表示，他们的目标是利用这一合作关系，更快地开发个人车辆的驾驶辅助和自动驾驶技术。丰田是全球销量最大的汽车制造商。
Waymo联合首席执行官Tekedra Mawakana表示，这一战略合作伙伴关系还可能导致这家谷歌旗下公司将丰田的“车辆纳入我们的叫车车队”。
与丰田的合作是Waymo最新的汽车合作伙伴关系。该公司已经在旧金山、洛杉矶、凤凰城和奥斯汀地区运营其商业无人驾驶叫车服务，现在每周在美国提供25万次付费乘车服务，高于2月份的20万次。
