1241 GMT - Investors are betting via the options market that Amazon's stock could move sharply in either direction following Thursday's earnings report, Saxo strategists say in a note. Straddle options--where investors who expect a sharp move buy both a bet on an asset falling and a bet on it rising--are pricing in a 7% swing, they say. This makes it "the most attractive for volatility trades." For Meta and Microsoft, however, which report earnings after Wednesday's close, straddle options suggest a muted move in those stocks unless the earnings reveal something unexpected, the strategists say.
