Stanmore Resources (ASX:SMR) reported total coal sales of 3.2 million tonnes at an average sales price of $139 per tonne in the March quarter, compared to total coal sales of 3.4 million tonnes at an average sales price of $151 per tonne in the December 2024 quarter, according to a Tuesday Australian bourse filing.
It reported saleable production of 3.3 million tonnes, in line with the prior quarter and previous year-to-date.
The firm reaffirmed its saleable production guidance for the year at between 13.8 million tonnes and 14.4 million tonnes.
It also reported a maiden reserves statement for the Isaac Downs extension project metallurgical coal mine in Queensland. The prefeasibility study for the project resulted in an overall run-of-mine coal reserves of 52 million tonnes, inclusive of 34 million tonnes, at a yield of around 65% of marketable coal reserves.
A strip-mining method was selected based on the geological characterization of the deposit. It estimated a mine life of over 20 years at up to around 4 million tonnes per annum run of mine.
