Bank of New York Mellon (BK) wants employees to return to the office four days a week by Sept. 2, Reuters reported Wednesday, citing a memo from the bank's executive committee.

"We're committed to maintaining personal flexibility and will continue to support remote work one day a week," the memo said, according to Reuters. "We have no plans to return to five days in office unless circumstances were to demand otherwise."

The bank had required staff to work from the office three times a week since H1 2023, the report said.

Bank of New York Mellon didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
