Hong Kong's tourism sector forecasts growth in tourist arrivals from mainland China to rise in single digits during the Labor Day holiday, The Standard reported, citing Hong Kong Tourism Association Executive Director Timothy Chui Ting-pong.

Chui forecasts the number of mainland visitors to reach more than 1 million during the holiday, or an increase of 60,000 to 80,000 visitors, the report said.

Hotel occupancy is seen to reach 96% during the five-day holiday, also known as Golden Week.
