据《商业内幕》报道，知情人士称，特斯拉正在内华达州招聘1000多名新工人，以加快推迟已久的Semi半挂卡车的量产进程。
周一，特斯拉在YouTube上发布了一段视频，宣布首批Semi汽车将于2025年底在位于内华达州斯帕克斯的超级工厂开始量产。该工厂的年产能将达到5万辆。
《商业内幕》指出，特斯拉近几个月一直在扩大其内华达工厂的运营规模，安排新工人接受培训并参观工厂。在此之前，特斯拉为Semi电动卡车项目分配的工厂工人数量不到一百人，其中还包括加州试点生产线的人员。
特斯拉多年来一直希望建立一项电动卡车制造业务，最初曾表示将于2019年开始量产Semi卡车。该公司官网目前列出了近100个与Semi研发相关的职位，范围从测试与维修技术员到工程和质量保障岗位。
