China Energy Engineering's Q1 Profit Climbs 9%, Revenue Rises 3%

China Energy Engineering's (HKG:3996, SHA:601868) net profit attributable to shareholders in the first quarter climbed 8.8% year on year to 1.61 billion yuan or 0.037 yuan per share, according to a Hong Kong Stock Exchange filing on Tuesday.

The Chinese state-owned energy conglomerate's attributable profit a year ago was 1.48 billion yuan or 0.034 yuan per share.

The company's operating revenue rose 3.1% to 100.4 billion yuan from 97.4 billion yuan in the previous year, the filing said.
