South Korean battery manufacturer LG Energy Solution (KRX:373220) and French metal recycler Derichebourg will establish a joint venture to build a battery recycling plant in France's Bruyères-sur-Oise.
Operations at the facility are set to begin in 2027. The facility will process battery scrap and end-of-life electric vehicle batteries, with LG supplying waste from its Polish plant and Derichebourg sourcing used batteries from across Europe, LG Energy Solution said Tuesday.
Shares of LG Energy Solution fell nearly 4% in recent trade on Wednesday, April 30.
