Australia's Monthly Total Credit Up 0.5% in March; Annual Credit Rises 6.5%

Australia's total credit rose 0.5% month on month in March, matching February's growth rate, data from the Reserve Bank of Australia showed Wednesday.

Housing credit went up 0.5%, while personal credit rose 0.6% after a 0.2% rise last month. Business credit rose 0.3%, following a 0.7% increase.

Broad money was flat in March, following a 0.6% rise in February.

Total credit rose 6.5% in the year ended March, compared with the 5.2% increase in the same period in 2024.
