Yandal Resources (ASX:YRL) said reverse circulation drilling at the Arrakis prospect, part of the Caladan target area, located within the Ironstone Well-Barwidgee Gold Project in Western Australia, confirmed mineralization continuity down dip and demonstrated potential for multiple mineralized structures, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.

Significant results encountered during the drilling include intercepts of 11 meters at 0.5 grams-per-tonne grade of gold from 168 meters and 5 meters at 1.3 g/t grade of gold from 243 meters.

Heritage surveys across the target area have been completed, and a 12,500-meter air-core drilling program across the target area will begin in May.

The firm's shares rose 7% on market close.
