BlockBeats News, April 30th, according to Bloomberg, El Salvador's Minister of Economy, Maria Luisa Hayem, stated at the Rio de Janeiro Web Summit that despite having signed a loan agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) requiring a halt to accumulating Bitcoin, El Salvador will continue to purchase Bitcoin. Hayem confirmed in a live interview: "President Bukele has pledged to continue accumulating assets."
According to El Salvador's Bitcoin Office official announcement, El Salvador has added 8 Bitcoins to its national Bitcoin Strategic Reserve in the past 7 days, bringing the total Bitcoin reserve to 6162.18 coins.
