Coles chief executive Leah Weckert says shoppers are still looking for value at the checkout and growth is strong in its home brand Coles Finest, where sales jumped double digits in the third quarter.
The impact on the business from US tariffs is likely to be minimal, given that the group sources most of its products domestically; however, Weckert said she was keeping an eye on secondary areas, particularly around beef production.
