Toyota Motor (TYO:7203) and Waymo have agreed to explore a collaboration to develop autonomous driving technologies, including for personally owned vehicles, according to a company statement released Tuesday.
Toyota's mobility unit Woven will join the talks, aimed at combining Waymo's self-driving systems with Toyota's vehicle platforms.
Waymo, which operates robotaxi services in US cities, said the partnership could expand its reach.
