美国财政部长斯科特·贝森特表示，欧盟在与美国进入贸易谈判前需要先解决一些“内部事务”，特别提到部分国家征收的数字服务税。

　　“我们在与很多不同利益方进行谈判，”贝森特周二在白宫的一场简报会上表示。“部分欧洲国家对美国征收了不公平的数字服务税。”

　　他指出，美国长期反对外国征收数字服务税，历届政府均认为该税种不公平地针对美国科技巨头，如亚马逊和谷歌母公司Alphabet Inc．。贝森特周二特别提到法国和意大利。

　　“德国和波兰等其他国家并未征收这种税——我们希望看到这种针对美国最伟大产业之一的不公平税负被取消，”贝森特补充说，“这将是互有让步的过程。他们在参与对外谈判前需要先决定一些内部事务。”

　　欧盟经济专员Valdis Dombrovskis周一接受采访时表示，美欧在谈判中“仍有大量问题待解决”。他还在推文中提到，上周在华盛顿与贝森特进行了“坦诚而友好的”会晤，双方就美方关税影响交换了意见。
