There is significant uncertainty over tariffs on Thailand and other countries, a shock that exacerbates an already sluggish post-pandemic recovery. The Myanmar earthquake poses another risk, and Moody's cuts its 2025 real GDP growth forecast for Thailand to about 2% from 2.9%. Moody's affirms Thailand's Baa1 ratings, citing moderately strong institutions and governance that support sound monetary and macroeconomic policies.
