智通财经APP获悉，英国半导体IP厂商Alphawave表示，英国收购和合并委员会已将美国芯片制造商高通(QCOM.US)提出收购要约的截止日期延长至5月12日。Alphawave表示，该公司正在与高通进行磋商，并同意根据英国法规，将高通提出正式收购要约的截止日期从之前的4月29日延长至5月12日。Alphawave补充称，目前还不能确定高通是否会提出确定的收购要约，也不能确定要约的条件。
本月早些时候，高通证实其正在考虑收购Alphawave。据悉，Alphawave一直在吸引高通和Arm(ARM.US)等公司对其用于构建人工智能处理器的关键技术“串行/并行解串器”(Serdes)的收购兴趣。SerDes技术对于人工智能应用至关重要，因为诸如ChatGPT等聊天机器人通常需要数千个芯片协同工作，以确保流畅运行。此前有消息称，Arm曾寻求收购Alphawave。不过，在4月初，消息人士透露，Arm在与Alphawave进行初步讨论后，已决定不再推进收购。
