Central Japan Railway Profit Jumps 19% in Full Year Ended March 31

Central Japan Railway (TYO:9022) attributable profit jumped 19% to 458.4 billion yen for the fiscal year ended March 31, from 384.4 billion yen a year earlier.

The railway operator's basic earnings per share (EPS) rose to 465.88 yen from 390.66 yen a year ago, according to a Wednesday Tokyo bourse filing.

Net sales jumped 7.1% to 1.831 billion yen from 1.71 trillion yen a year earlier.

For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, the company expects attributable profit of 423 billion yen or 429.88 yen per share, while net sales are expected to increase to 1.865 trillion yen.

The company expects to pay interim and year-end dividends of 16.00 yen per share, each, for the current fiscal year. It declared a year-end dividend of 16 yen per share for the fiscal 2025, payable from June 26.
