1015 ET - U.S. consumer brands are watching for fallout of U.S. tariffs and other moves by the Trump administration abroad, prompting McDonald's to issue consumer surveys in its top global markets about American sentiment. Consumers in some countries, particularly Canada and Northern Europe, have told the brand that they plan to reduce their spending on American brands, but they don't intend to shy away from McDonald's, the chain says on a 1Q investor call. "Consumer sentiment toward the McDonald's brand remains strong," the company says. (heather.haddon@wsj.com; @heatherhaddon)
