Amcor Completes All-Stock Combination with Plastic Packaging Product Maker; Shares Down 3%

Amcor (ASX:AMC) completed its all-stock combination with Berry Global, the packaging company said in a statement Wednesday.

Following the deal, the company anticipates a 12% adjusted earnings per share accretion in the fiscal year 2026 with the delivery of $260 million of pre-tax synergies, the statement said.

By fiscal year 2028, the total pre-tax synergy benefits are expected to reach $650 million, with an additional $280 million from working capital improvements.

Additionally, the company's annual cash flow is expected to exceed $3 billion by 2028, according to the statement.

Amcor shares were down 3% in morning trade on Thursday.
