针对美媒爆料称特斯拉董事会“寻找马斯克继任者”一事，特斯拉最新做出回应予以否认。此前特朗普表示，马斯克“真的牺牲了很多”。

北京时间5月1日，据路透社报道，特斯拉董事长罗宾·丹霍姆公开表态称，有关特斯拉寻找新CEO以接替马斯克的媒体报道是“完全错误”的，特斯拉董事会对马斯克继续“执行未来令人兴奋的增长计划”的能力充满信心。

当地时间4月30日晚，美国《华尔街日报》援引多名匿名消息人士的话爆料，称特斯拉董事会已于3月份联系多家猎头公司，开始寻找新的CEO，以接替马斯克执掌这家陷入困难的电动汽车公司。

另据法新社报道，当地时间4月30日，美国总统特朗普在白宫内阁会议上表示，马斯克可以想在白宫工作多久就工作多久，但他理解马斯克想回归自己的商业工作。

报道称，这可能是马斯克离开政府效率部前的最后一次会议。此前，马斯克已宣布将大幅减少管理政府效率部的时间，把更多时间投入特斯拉。

报道称，特斯拉公司因马斯克参与政治活动而遭受了严重的品牌损失，在欧洲和美国，有的特斯拉展厅遭到破坏，一些人还呼吁抵制特斯拉。

“你真的牺牲了很多，他们对你非常不公。”特朗普周三对马斯克说道。马斯克回应说：“他们喜欢烧我的车，这可不是什么好事。”

对于这场内阁会议，CNN报道称，与任职期间的喧嚣不同，特朗普内阁为马斯克举行了看似友好的送别仪式。
