New Hope Liuhe (SHE:000876) returned to profit in the first quarter, posting a net profit attributable to shareholders of 444.7 million yuan or 0.09 yuan per share, according to a Shenzhen Stock Exchange disclosure on Wednesday.
The Chinese pig producer's attributable loss in the previous year was 1.93 billion yuan or 0.43 yuan per share.
The operating income in the same period rose 2.1% year on year to 24.4 billion yuan from 23.9 billion yuan, the disclosure said.
