Dow Jones
Yesterday

1249 ET - Newell Brands has found an opening with retailers facing tariffs for private label products. Executives at the maker of Yankee Candle and Sharpie pens say retailers are asking the company whether they'd be willing to do their private label goods given their source reliance on China. But the Atlanta company has pushed back given its not set up to do that and is instead recommending that retailers discontinue their private label product and replace it with Newell's branded products. Shares decline 7.3%. (denny.jacob@wsj.com; @pennedbyden)
