Sector Update: Energy Stocks Fall Premarket Thursday

Energy stocks fell premarket Thursday with the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) 0.9% lower recently.

The United States Oil Fund (USO) was down 0.8% and the United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was 0.3% higher.

Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was down 0.9% at $57.69 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil lost 0.8% to $60.56 per barrel, and natural gas futures were 1.3% higher at $3.37 per 1 million British Thermal Units.

TC Energy (TRP) shares fell by over 1% after the company reported a decline in Q1 comparable earnings from continuing operations.

Antero Midstream (AM) shares were up 0.7% after the company reported higher Q1 adjusted earnings and revenue.

Targa Resources (TRGP) shares were 0.5% lower after the company reported a decline in Q1 net income.
